The Client Experience Management (CEM) team works with the BlackRock client businesses to ensure that the operational needs of our clients are understood and aligned with the operational teams across BlackRock.

In addition, the team are responsible for ensuring that BlackRock’s operational service offering continues to evolve in line with industry and client trends with the goal of offering our clients class leading operational excellence.

We are also charged with being the operational expert in the room with the client and providing them with consultancy where required around operational matters.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Netherlands CEM team working in collaboration with the Institutional Client Business. Responsibility for supporting several strategic clients to ensure the consistent delivery of a high quality and seamless service across our client base.  The role is based in Amsterdam.  

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Client Business throughout the client lifecycle to deliver excellent client service.
  • Focus on sustaining the highest level of client service. 
  • Engage the operational resources of the firm to meet clients’ needs.
  • Servicing existing Netherlands Institutional client base through the delivery of high-quality client service with an excellent attention to detail. 
  • Taking responsibility for client queries, delegating as appropriate to internal teams, monitoring progress to resolution and ensuring that responses are timely and of a high quality. 
  • Gaining a clear understanding of clients’ service requirements, storing details on client management systems. 
  • Establish / enhance strong working relationships with key stakeholders within BlackRock. 
  • Provide and/or co-ordinate appropriate representation for Business Operations at Client meetings and due diligence visits etc.  
  • Build and constantly develop your existing knowledge of the Business Operations’ functions and keep current on major activities being undertaken and challenges and successes that are being experienced.
  • Build familiarity with BlackRock’s existing products and operational capabilities to aid query resolution and to assist with the design and delivery of external communications.
  • Ability to work proactively with others to resolve and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with self-assurance, energy and drive.
  • Ability to analyse, synthesise and present data in a concise and easy to understand style
  • Clear communicator, strong interpersonal skills. Oral and written English required.
  • Independent thinker with high level of integrity. 
  • Experience in a process driven, risk-controlled environment is a plus. 
  • A self-starter who can quickly analyse client needs and focus on delivery. 
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines.
