Description
Jamieson is offering an Analyst position in Amsterdam (while you will first enjoy your on-boarding and training while working from London). This is a unique opportunity to join a leading independent Management Advisory firm, with an outstanding team of professionals and with ambitious growth aspirations.
The role will involve supporting the team of professionals through all aspects of origination and execution of advisory projects.
You will initially work from our London office, giving you the opportunity to work on various projects while having a broad team of professionals around you to train you on the job. Your assignments will include both Dutch and UK deals. After a period to be agreed with you, you will relocate to Amsterdam where you will further contribute to the expansion of our Dutch operations.
Core role and day-to-day tasks:
- Support the team in coordinating the transaction process internally and by liaising with clients, their counterparties and other advisers
- Researching companies and industries through a number of different sources
- Preparing and delivering presentations for clients and colleagues
- Maintaining and updating company databases
- Assisting with financial analysis, financial modelling, and valuation of companies to support the advice provided to clients
- Preparing marketing materials and other documentation including pitches, financial analysis, and management presentations
Required attributes:
- A record of high achievement, both academic and extra-curricular (university degree, preferably in business economics or business administration)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrable numerical skills with an understanding of and interest in business and financial markets
- Good command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Confident and rounded individual with strong inter-personal skills to be able to liaise effectively with both clients and colleagues
- Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to pick things up quickly
- Excellent project management / organisational skills
- Fluency in English and Dutch, both spoken and written

- Balanced background with a keen interest in other extra-curricular activities
- Willingness to learn and progress their own personal abilities
- Confidence with an appropriate level of humility
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Social skills and a keenness to contribute to the team outside of the working day
- Other language skills (in addition to fluent English and Dutch)
