CFM is authorised by the AFM to act as manager (beheerder) of investment institutions and to offer participation rights in investment institutions. CFM is subject to supervision by the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (Autoriteit Financiële Markten or “AFM”) and/or the Dutch Central Bank (De Nederlandsche Bank N.V. or “DNB”)
About the Role
We are seeking to recruit a Structuring and Valuations Analyst (Graduate) to support the Structuring and Valuations team. This role will be based in The Hague and report to the Head of Structuring and Valuations. In this role we will give you the chance to build an excellent network while accelerating your skills in valuation of the investments, administration of funds liquidity, design and implementation of the blended finance structure.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct macroeconomic, foreign exchange and sector focused research on emerging market infrastructure (with a focus on renewable energy, water, wastewater and sanitation).
- Research, update and maintain a library of macroeconomic data relevant for discount rate build up and standard valuation methodologies and practices. Reliance will be based on public information, as well as private databases such as Bloomberg.
- Act as the knowledge manager for the database, overseeing data related to FX rates, interest rates, and other relevant financial information.
- Review and update the project finance investment models received from the investment and asset management team on a quarterly basis.
- Assist with implementing the valuation methodology as determined by the relevant forums, update the relevant valuation reports and fulfil other reporting requirements as needed.
- Assist in other structuring and fund management tasks, as needed (including but not limited to update of fund models and update of investment structure materials).
Qualifications
- Graduate having completed a Bachelors or MSc in finance, mathematics, econometrics, or a related field, with at least 1-years work experience gained through internships, with a desire to be involved in private equity and climate finance.
- You are confident, intelligent, commercially focused, and ready to accelerate your work experience in a one-of-a-kind international financial services institution.
- You have strong numerical comprehension and excellent communications skills.
- You enjoy researching, working with data, complicated subject matters and can adhere to challenging deadlines.
- You are technically proficient in Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
