NIBC Bank is looking for a talented and ambitious junior or medior for the Market Risk Management (MRM) team.

What will you do?
MRM offers talented and ambitious professionals the opportunity to join a team at the heart of the organisation. Your activities may include:
- Active involvement in portfolio analysis looking at (daily/weekly/monthly) market risk metrics and trends in the portfolio.
- Development and maintenance of market risk models used for valuation and risk calculations.
- Creation of risk reports, visualisations and analysis supporting (real-time) decision making.
- Perform various analysis and reports to various risk committees and senior management as well as external disclosures such as the Annual Report and the Pillar 3 Report.
- Participating in bank-wide projects including implementation and monitoring of (new) regulations as well as IT systems and data management.
- Gain insight into regulatory developments and work on specific regulatory requests for information and analyses including impact studies.
- Recognising potential areas for process improvements and efficiency gains and towards streamlined implementation.
Your team
Market Risk Management is part of Group Risk Management and performs a broad range of activities. The team is responsible for bank-wide market risk in relation to our businesses. A key theme is providing (real-time) insights to senior management and other stakeholders with respect to interest rate risk, credit spread risk, liquidity risk and currency risk. In addition, the team is involved in the creation, update, implementation and ownership of market risk policies, standards and procedures. The team has a key role in and provides input to various committees and is actively involved in strategic activities as well as regulatory developments which is becoming increasingly important. Within this diverse team you will have the opportunity to make an impact from day one. You will be exposed to many teams within the bank, quickly gaining a meaningful insight into the functioning of a bank, its balance sheet and key drivers for business, risk and return. In this respect, you will also learn how commercial and risk activities complement each other.

We are looking for someone with analytical, quantitative and communication skills and a good grasp of English (as the main language for communication within NIBC). In addition we are looking for:
- Someone with the eagerness to learn and to investigate processes within Market Risk Management and the bank
- Academic or HBO education, with preferably some work experience
- Ability to think logically, in order to analyse the data and to work with software packages
- Preferably working experience in interest rate risk/liquidity risk
- A team player, but also likes to work independently on certain tasks
- An entrepreunrial mindset and not afraid to share their opinion when needed.
