The Inhouse Day
By means of presentations, fireside sessions and interactive Q&A’s you will learn more about our work and starting positions at ABN AMRO’s Markets division. You will get the opportunity to meet our colleagues from a variety of Markets teams: Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Sales & Trading (FX, Fixed Income, Derivatives). Eventually we will also inform you on the possibilities of the Markets Corporate Banking Talent Programme and end the day with some drinks.
Markets
Markets is the heart of Corporate Banking, clients are advised and serviced with the purchase and sale of (complex) financial products - for example, stocks, bonds, fixed-income, currency, structured products, research and quantitative analysis. Our clients vary from Private Banking to (Large) Corporate Clients, Public Sector and Financial Institutions. We carry out transactions for them from our dealing rooms in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London and Paris.
Corporate Banking Talent Programme
Your first 5 weeks at ABN AMRO start with the Corporate Banking Talent Programme, where together with your colleague trainees you get to know the corporate bank you will be working for. During this period, you familiarize yourself with the corporate bank and participate in a training programme that includes professional and personal development sessions. After completing the 5 week programme you start in the Markets rotation programme, during which you will work in different parts of the dealing room over the course of 24 months. In addition, you get the chance to branch out into one of the other departments within the corporate bank, thereby broadening your knowledge and network. It is also possible to gain experience in one of our offices in Europe. After 24 months, you are ready for the starting point that best matches your skills and ambitions.

Fixed Income & Derivatives (FID) Sales & Trading, Foreign Exchange Sales & Trading, Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Atlas & Quant desk, Sustainable Finance, Strategy & Business Development, Research, International Rotation (Frankfurt, Paris, London, New York)
Profile
Do you match the profile below?
- In the final phase of your academic career (3rd year Bachelor or Master)
- Proven affinity with financial markets and interest in investment products
- Quick learner and strong communication/analytical skills
- (Internship) experience in Financial Markets and/or programming/IT development skills
- Relevant extracurricular activities and/or experience abroad
