The Van Lanschot Kempen Investment Management Traineeship offers young professionals the opportunity to explore every aspect of asset management, starting September 2023 for a period of 16 months.

During the traineeship, you will be supported by a mentor and a buddy and follow a training program for both personal and professional development. The traineeship is a bespoke process allowing each step to be planned in close consultation with you, whereby your personal and professional growth is key.

That is what you will use your talents for as an Investment Management Trainee at Van Lanschot Kempen. After the 16 months, you will have a good impression of the opportunities and possibilities within the investment management, leading to a discussion which career path is the best match with you here at Van Lanschot Kempen

Within this traineeship, you will rotate between departments on a four-month basis. The departments which are part of this traineeship are:

• Core strategies: consist of the investment management teams (Credits, Dividend, Small Caps, Sustainable Value Creation, Real Assets, Private Markets) and the trading desk;
• Asset Research & Communication: investment strategy solutions and research, selection & communication (single lines research). The team plays a role in the investment process and content strategy of VLK;
• Manager Research & Multi Man. Solutions: responsible for research, selection & communication of fund managers and alternative investment strategies;
• Private Clients Solutions: Responsible for the VLK default propositions and tailored portfolio solutions for private clients and semi-institutional clients;
• FM & Institutional Solutions: Responsible for fiduciary management and investment solutions for pension funds and insurance companies;
• Portfolio Implementation: Responsible for managing and monitoring all client portfolios and mandates;
• Product & Solutions Development: responsible for solutions management and the VLK product management. The team delivers an energetic and diligent development process for the investment products and services;
• Project Management Office: responsible for the coordination of a broad range of projects related to the development of solutions and products; and
• Sustainability Centre: responsible for the preservation and growth of wealth in a sustainable way for the benefit of the future by sustainable and innovative investment solutions

Your talents

And all will be well if you also an affinity with finance and investing. You also have:

• completed a masters
• max. 2 years of work experience after your studies
• the desire to develop yourself, both on professional and personal level
• Good mastery of English, both oral and written.
