HAL Investments is a long-term investment company that is active across the globe from its offices in Rotterdam. We started our investment activities in 1989, after the sale of the last remaining shipping activities of the Holland Amerika Lijn. The net asset value of HAL amounted to € 13.4bln mid-year 2021. 

HAL solely invests its own (family) capital, a proposition that allows us to focus on long term value creation without pre-defined exit strategies. Our unique investment strategy has given us the opportunity to add significant long term value to our investments, some of which have been in our portfolio for over 25 years.
